This lavender photoshoot still smells like summer to me.
I never thought I’d find such a dreamy place in South Italy — a blooming lavender field nestled between the mountains, full of sunlight, soft wind, and that calming scent in the air. It felt like a little corner of Provence hidden right here in Calabria.
We arrived at golden hour, just before sunset. The light was warm and honey-like, dancing across the hills and in the rows of lavender. We created soft, feminine portraits that feel just like that evening — glowing, relaxed, joyful.
As a photographer, I’m always looking for places that feel special. And every summer, I organize photo tours like this one — little adventures to magical spots, perfect for quick getaways and beautiful memories. I usually take up to three people in my car, and it always turns into something more than “just a shoot.” It’s a moment to slow down, to feel beautiful, to breathe in the scent of summer and laugh under the open sky.

Even the bees couldn’t stop us. They buzzed around, reminding us to stay calm and gentle — just like the mood of the shoot. And they let us be.
