Typically, shopping malls host promotional events around Black Friday or the winter holiday season. However, River Mall stood out by organizing a grand-scale event to celebrate their summer sale. It was an unusual experience for me as an event photographer, capturing the vibrant atmosphere of a summer sale, which is a rare occasion in this industry.
Two photographers covered this event, with one stationed outside near the main entrance, while I focused primarily on the activities inside the mall. Occasionally, I stepped outdoors to add dynamic outdoor shots to my reportage collection. The event featured various photo zones, energetic promoters, exciting prize draws, and engaging activities that brought joy and entertainment to visitors.
The day culminated with a live concert held inside the mall. The performers were mostly emerging young artists, popular among niche audiences who appreciate their unique artistry. River Mall provided a significant platform and a boost to these talents, giving them the opportunity to shine. Interestingly, some of these artists later participated in national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest, which I found truly inspiring. Knowing that I captured them at the early stages of their careers made this experience even more special.
I genuinely enjoy working at such lively events and collaborating with prominent shopping centers. It’s rewarding to be part of initiatives that bring so much excitement and memorable moments to their customers.
