This photography session took place in a small Calabrian town near Cosenza - Montalto Uffugo - far from the busy rhythm of the Amalfi Coast, yet carrying that same deep Italian charm. The couple, a Ukrainian bride and an Italian groom, had come from Germany to celebrate their intimate wedding surrounded by their closest family. As a wedding photographer, I instantly felt how special this day was going to be.
The ceremony unfolded in the уютний courtyard of the local municipality, a beautiful historic building that seemed to hold every voice, every smile. It was short, almost fleeting - but filled with meaning. Right after, the space transformed into a soft, joyful photo session: glasses clinking, quiet hugs, details of the dress, which had been custom-made by a Ukrainian designer. I focused on capturing those textures and movements, knowing these images would travel back to the brand that created it.
We then wandered through the town like old friends - stopping for coffee, moving between sunlit squares and peaceful churches. This part felt less like a planned photoshoot and more like a shared прогулка, where every corner offered a new story. The couple didn’t need guidance - they were open, playful, already in sync with the camera.
One of the most memorable moments of this photography session happened inside a breathtaking church, where light and architecture wrapped around them so effortlessly that even filming video alongside photo felt natural. It was a challenge, yes - but the kind that fills you with energy.
We ended our time at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the valley and mountains. The air felt lighter there, like everything had gently settled into place.
Working with them didn’t feel like work at all. Just two and a half hours - and somehow, a whole world of memories captured.
